[High School] IRONMAN FESTIVAL 2025: BREAK THE LIMITS
Date Submitted: 22/08/2025
The Ironman Festival 2025 at Olympia High School truly became a fiery kickoff, igniting excitement and motivation for a new school year. With the theme “Break the Limits,” the program offered students not only creative challenges but also a journey of resilience, skill-building, and teamwork.
After 3 weeks of preparation, Olympia High School SOers officially kicked off the 2025–2026 school year with the Ironman Festival.
The Ironman Festival, with academic, physical, skill-based, and team-coordination challenges, was the perfect boost for SOers to be ready for the new school year.
On the Ironman “racecourse”, SOers experienced a variety of exciting activities. The warm-up station began with physical and strategic games such as Modified Tic-tac-toe and the Human Wheel, which encouraged students to move, coordinate effectively, and exercise strategic thinking.
The Modified Tic-tac-toe game required strategic thinking and smooth teamwork.
The Human Wheel challenge demanded close coordination among team members to roll their wheel to the finish line as quickly as possible.
After completing the warm-up, teams proceeded to challenges that tested their knowledge, skills, and logical thinking. At the Math Code challenge, students had to use their logical reasoning to solve math puzzles and unlock secret codes, practicing persistence while overcoming obstacles. The atmosphere grew more exciting as the “Little Writers” demonstrated their literary knowledge by answering questions about authors and works. At the Language Journey station, students built their English vocabulary by forming meaningful words from given letters. Concluding the race was Dexterous Hands, a challenge that tested patience, skill, and teamwork through playful activities like passing eggs with banana leaves and paper-thread embroidery.
At the Math Code station, students had to solve math puzzles to unlock the code and move forward.
After completing the Little Writers challenge, teams received clues about characters and authors from literary works they had studied. If they solved the puzzles, they earned the key to the next station.
At the Language Journey station, using given data, students had to arrange letters into meaningful words to pass the challenge with Ms. Stephanie.
The Dexterous Hands station, with activities like passing eggs using banana leaves or paper embroidery, required skill and seamless cooperation among all team members.
Every Ironman activity carried profound educational value, turning classroom knowledge into vivid, real-life experiences. Students not only strengthened creative thinking and problem-solving skills but also learned to collaborate, connect, and express themselves with confidence. The festival was therefore not just an academic playground, but also an important source of motivation, fueling the energy and determination of the Olympia High School Ironmen to push beyond their limits and confidently reach new heights in the 2025–2026 school year.
Wishing all Olympia High School Ironmen confidence and success as they conquer new challenges in the 2025–2026 school year.
