Date Submitted: 16/08/2025
The 2025-2026 school year opens with many innovations in educational activities at Olympia Primary, Middle & High School. The parent meeting on August 16, 2025, marked a significant milestone, initiating close cooperation among families, schools, and students for the new school year.
At the 63 Lê Văn Long campus, Primary & Middle School parents listened as the Board of Directors shared Olympia’s philosophy, mission, and core educational values. They were also updated on the school’s three-year goals and key directions for 2025-2026. The school introduced the bilingual learning pathway from Preschool to High School, along with new adjustments aimed at improving educational quality.
After setting the school-wide goals, parents continued discussions with homeroom teachers about class plans for the year. This was also an opportunity for parents to meet subject teachers and international teachers in charge of the class, while agreeing on important principles for accompanying their children in learning, discipline, and holistic development.
Dr. Nguyễn Thanh Hưng – Director of Training & Operations at the Sakura - Olympia School System, and Vice Principal of Olympia Primary, Middle & High School – shared with parents about innovations in curriculum, teaching methods, and learning models at Olympia in the 2025-2026 school year.
Dr. Nguyễn Thanh Hưng presented the roadmap for Olympia’s Bilingual Program and the three-year goal of having the first generation of graduates receive dual diplomas: Vietnamese High School & International Baccalaureate.
After the joint meeting with the Board of Directors, parents continued with their homeroom teachers to discuss the class’s plans for the school year.
At the High School level, the meeting with the Board of Directors focused on introducing Olympia’s education program and this year’s main priority: strengthening science subjects. For parents of Grade 12 students, the session also provided key updates on the national graduation exam to help families and students prepare with confidence for this important milestone.
In the class-level meetings, High School parents were introduced to the team of teachers who will accompany students throughout the year. Parents and teachers also agreed on principles for cooperation between Family and School in supporting students’ learning, discipline, and personal development.
Ms. Nguyễn Thị Vân – Vice Principal of Olympia Primary, Secondary & High School – shared with parents the key directions for the 2025-2026 school year.
Class meetings focused on building shared principles for cooperation between Family and School in guiding students’ development.
“Each of us may define success differently. At Sakura - Olympia, we define success as being healthy, happy, and useful. Students should be healthy both physically and mentally; they should have the opportunity to learn and do what aligns with their passions and abilities, and achieve their own goals. And ultimately, they should become people who are useful to their families, loved ones, and to humanity. I hope we can walk this journey together for the success of our children,” shared Dr. Nguyễn Thanh Hưng.
We believe that the discussions at this beginning-of-year meeting opened up a deeper understanding between families and the school, laying a strong foundation for close cooperation. From here, Sakura - Olympia students will move forward with greater confidence, ready to achieve meaningful success.
