Date Submitted: 29/10/2024

“Mission for a Green Planet” is not only a goal but also a commitment of Sakura-Olympia in its comprehensive educational journey. To equip students with knowledge about the challenges facing the planet, this school year, teachers have integrated green content into the curriculum, opening up an exciting and exciting learning journey meaning.

Specifically, each lesson, extracurricular activities, field trips, and competitions for each grade level are built based on information from the book "Global Issues: An Introduction" by Kristen A. Hite and John L. Seitz. The book provides a comprehensive view of the major challenges facing the world, from climate change, and sustainable development to pressing social issues. With a rich and reputable source of content drawn from the research process of two professors, the book has inspired Olympia teachers to design green lessons, activities, and projects suitable for each student's age.

- Diverse teaching activities: Teachers have flexibly built lectures and organized group discussions on climate change, environmental pollution, and many other issues, helping students understand each individual's responsibility to the environment. Earth. The content is not only conveyed through theory but also practical activities, creating opportunities for students to develop critical thinking, and combining English and Vietnamese bilingualism in research and discussion.

- Field trips and green projects: To encourage students to strengthen their connection with nature and enhance the spirit of environmental protection, the school has organized picnic programs and outdoor activities... This activity not only trains life skills but also creates opportunities for students to express their love for nature through practical actions.

- Small initiative, big meaning: Through green lessons, SOers learn how to create positive change, from reducing plastic use, and recycling materials to green projects that spread environmental awareness. These initiatives may be small, but they are your first step on the path to building a sustainable future.

Exploring the book also helps you develop critical thinking skills and use English-Vietnamese in research. Therefore, if you have the opportunity, SOers can learn or talk to teachers about this book!

The journey to implement the "Green Planet Mission" has started excitingly with many meaningful green projects from SOers. And the next journey promises to continue to bring many new surprises with products from useful green lessons. Teachers will always be companions and inspirations, helping students turn green lessons into true life values. Together, the Sakura-Olympia team will constantly spread the message of protecting the Earth and building a more sustainable world!
