Learning Journey 2024-2025: The Green Planet Mission
Date Submitted: 30/05/2025
On the evening of May 29, 2025, at 63 Le Van Long, Hai Chau, Da Nang, the Sakura-Olympia schoolyard transformed into a vibrant artistic space, bursting with color, emotion, and creativity for the Learning Journey 2024-2025 stage. This is not just an end-of-year celebration for Olympia’s Primary and Secondary students, but also a deeply humanistic artistic journey titled “The Green Planet Mission”. On the Learning Journey stage, each performance becomes a piece of a creative puzzle, together creating a powerful message about our responsibility to the Earth and the environment.
The ozone hole — one of the consequences of human-driven environmental pollution — has become a painful global issue. Aware of their responsibility to protect the environment, Olympia students used the language of art to guide the audience through waves of emotion on the journey to carry out the mission of “mending the sky.” With 12 performances, each representing a different piece, the mission of “Green Planet” unfolds across three key chapters: Awakening – Action – Rebirth.
The first chapter, called Awakening, stirs love for nature in every heart through emotional performances: from The Treasure of Nature, Music Appreciation, to the Science Show and the fairy tale The Old Fisherman and the Goldfish. This is the moment we realize that, even without shouting, nature gently reminds us of its wounds, urging us to understand that the Earth needs us now more than ever.
In the form of musical theater, students from the Earth class conveyed the meaningful message: Green trees are the “treasure of nature,” and protecting trees and forests is protecting life itself.
The music appreciation performance, set to symphonic music by the Sun and Mercury classes, rang out like a bell urging everyone to awaken.
The Science Show, performed by secondary school students, explored natural phenomena such as smoke, tornadoes, fire, and wind, bringing the audience a novel and exciting experience.
With boundless creativity, the students of the Mars class presented a unique and innovative musical adaptation of “The Old Fisherman and the Goldfish,” blending modern elements while conveying a strong message of ocean conservation.
The representatives of Chapter 1 received the first puzzle pieces to help mend the sky.
Thanks to the SOers’ awakening to nature’s call, part of the sky has been healed. And now, it’s time for us to step out of our comfort zones and take action to create a greener future.
Moving into the second chapter – Action – the audience witnessed the image of green sprouts rising within the hearts of Olympia students. Performances like Together We Protect the Earth, Awakening Green Sprouts, Dance of the Green Forest, and Green Dreams from Small Hands were not only visually stunning but also carried the spirit that: to save the green planet, it’s time for each person to begin making changes, starting from the smallest actions.
Through the performance Together We Protect the Earth, the young students of the Sun 2 class reminded the audience of the world’s pressing environmental issues and the actions they have taken to join hands in protecting the Earth.
The performance Awakening Green Sprouts by the Sun 1 class emphasized the importance of water — the source of all life.
The vibrant rhythm of Dance of the Green Forest, performed by the collective of secondary school students, ignited the atmosphere of the Learning Journey night, while also conveying the hope for a life where humans and all species coexist harmoniously.
With the performance Green Dreams from Small Hands, the students of Mercury 1 shared the small but meaningful actions they have carried out to help save resources and protect nature.
The journey of mending the sky has now passed more than half its course, fueled by the contributions of the representatives of Chapter 2.
From those small actions, Olympia students have sown new seeds into the Earth. And nature, though weary, has smiled in response when loved.
Arriving at the final chapter – Rebirth, the green of the Earth has returned, and new life begins to rise from old wounds. This revival comes alive through The Heart of Mother Nature and The Journey of Hope, Protect the Ocean, The Eyes of Mona, and the energetic anthem Viva la Vida. This affirms that with small hands and sincere care, the green planet can indeed be healed.
The journey to rescue Mother Nature, led by the students of the Venus class, and nature’s response to the little ones, were beautifully expressed through the performance of The Heart of Mother Nature and The Journey of Hope.
Faced with the issue of ocean pollution caused by waste, the Mercury 2 class came together to create an adorable piece about life under the sea, sending the message Protect the Ocean to everyone.
With a unique storytelling style and artistically rich script, the collective of middle school students delivered the impressive story The Eyes of Mona. Through a journey of exploring the past, present, and future, Mona comes to understand that a loving heart is the key to opening a better world.
The song Viva la Vida, performed by the students of Venus, Earth, and Mars, served as the concluding affirmation that with awakening and collective action from the community, the world will become more beautiful — that is the “eternal life” we all long for.
As the melody of This Earth Belongs to Us resounded, the meaningful Learning Journey night came to a close, drawing everyone closer together in the shared mission of protecting the Earth.
The final pieces were handed to the representatives of Chapter Three, the sky was revived, and the Earth pulsed once more with the rhythm of life.
Learning Journey is not just an artistic performance. It is where Olympia students showcase their talents, ignite their passions, build confidence, and spread messages of love and connection among the school, parents, and the broader community. Every performance, every smile, every round of applause that echoed that night was a reminder: the mission of the Green Planet does not end here — it continues in every small action we take each day.
We sincerely thank all the parents, teachers, and students who together created such a memorable journey. See you again in the next journeys, where Olympia will continue to sow seeds for the future, nurturing faith and aspirations for the next generation of global citizens!
