To help students discover the joy of mathematics, hone their math skills, and demonstrate their proficiency in mathematical language, The Olympia Schools organized the English Math Competition under the theme “The Clash of Mind” for primary school students.

Focusing on real-world applications, the final round of questions tested mathematical knowledge and required critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork. The competition offered students opportunities to:

- Sharpen their problem-solving skills with logic and efficiency.

- Learn to overcome time pressure and excel in every moment.

- Build confidence, adaptability, and teamwork to achieve common goals.

After the preliminary rounds, representatives from each class were selected to compete in the Final Round, held on November 29, 2024. Fifty-six outstanding young mathematicians were divided into eight teams, each composed of students from all grade levels, embarking on a journey to tackle high-level challenges from the Cambridge Math curriculum.

Explosive Moments Across Three Rounds

Round 1: “Speed and Accuracy”

The eight teams quickly dove into the vibrant Kahoot quiz segment, where every second determined the outcome. The cheers from the audience and the bright smiles when solving challenging questions created an electrifying atmosphere.

Round 2: “The Power of Teamwork”

Entering the collaborative round, the teams demonstrated exceptional team spirit. Every answer represented not just individual efforts but a collective result of ideas, reasoning, and mutual understanding among team members.

Round 3: “The Decisive Duel”

The top two teams advanced to the intense face-off round, where every question was a challenge for breakthrough thinking. From logical puzzles to practical applications, the contestants left the judges in awe of their superior critical thinking skills and sharp mathematical language proficiency.
