Moral education is an indispensable foundation in the journey of comprehensive personality development of students. At Sakura - Olympia School System, "Ethics" is placed first in the trio of core values: Ethics - Health - Knowledge. This order is intended to demonstrate the school's goal of creating a learning environment that not only enhances capacity but also helps students form solid qualities and become independent, independent individuals—responsible to the community and respectful to each other.  

To improve the effectiveness of moral education in the journey of "Building Character", recently, Olympia Primary, Secondary, and High School organized a professional event with the theme "Ethical Education" for teachers from Primary to High School. The activity aims to help Olympia teachers consolidate their knowledge and find solutions to improve the effectiveness of character education for students through advanced teaching methods, approaching from theory to practice. 

The professional meeting used the book "Educating for Character" by Thomas Lickona as the main theoretical basis. This is one of the prestigious works, providing profound perspectives on the role of character education in the school environment. After studying the content in this book, the teachers divided into groups to discuss notable issues including:

Personality education and companionship of family and school: The role of coordination between school and family in building students' personality, helping to create a unified and effective educational ecosystem.

The role of teachers in being role models, advisors, and leaders: Teachers are considered important role models, imparting not only knowledge but also spreading life values ​​and moral qualities to each student.

Building an ethical community in the classroom: Teachers discussed creating a respectful, equitable classroom environment where students can develop their personalities healthily and positively.

Moral discipline and democratic classroom: Discipline is not only a deterrent but an educational tool for students to clearly understand their responsibilities, thereby forming ethical thinking and actions.

Sex education: With the development of society, sex education is also an important factor in building a comprehensive personality, helping students have a correct awareness of themselves and society.

We believe that, with the teachers' enthusiasm, every student at Sakura-Olympia will be raised in an educational environment with a clear orientation, taking ethics as the guideline for all activities. The event is the first step in the journey of continuing humanistic values, laying a solid foundation for developing the students' personality, and helping them grow with courage, compassion, kindness, and a sense of responsibility to self and community.
