Sakura-Olympia's Pride on the Journey of the World Scholar's Cup 2024

Six months of relentless effort, and three thrilling rounds of competition—this was the incredible journey of SOers at the World Scholar's Cup 2024, culminating in a glorious finale. On November 16, 2024 (U.S. time), Duong Bao Kha, an 8th-grade student at Olympia School, along with teammates, confidently stepped onto the grounds of Yale University, the host venue for the Tournament of Champions, the final round of the World Scholar’s Cup 2024. At this "Tournament of Champions," the team engaged in rigorous challenges, including Team Debate, Collaborative Writing, and Scholar’s Challenge, while also enjoying opportunities to connect, learn, and explore diverse cultural values with international friends.

Amid thousands of outstanding scholars from 40 countries, Duong Bao Kha showcased remarkable courage and exemplified the spirit of "Conquering New Heights," achieving impressive results:
- 3 Gold Medals in team events: Team Debate, Team Writing, Team Bowl.
- 3 Gold Medals in Challenge categories: Art & Music, Social Studies.
- 3 Silver Medals in Challenge categories: Literature & Media, Special Area, Science & Technology.
- 1 Silver Medal in Writing Champions.
- Overall Results: Top 35 Teams Worldwide and Top 125 Champion Scholars Globally.

This is a truly proud accomplishment on a global stage, uniting many of the world’s brightest scholars. Despite a few small regrets, the journey, from the Regional Round in January 2024 to this moment, stands as a testament to the perseverance, eagerness to learn, and courage to challenge oneself demonstrated by Bao Kha and her teammates.

You stepped out of your comfort zone, faced the toughest challenges, and carried the spirit of conquest.
This is not just Bao Kha's journey but also an immense inspiration for Vietnamese youth aiming to rise globally.
