The Sakura - Olympia School System is thrilled to announce the registration opening for the school team participating in the World Scholar's Cup (WSC) 2025 — a globally renowned academic competition that inspires students to think critically, debate passionately, write persuasively, and collaborate effectively.

1. ABOUT THE WORLD SCHOLAR’S CUP

The World Scholar’s Cup is an international team-based academic competition for students aged 8-18 worldwide. Each year, nearly 50,000 students from over 70 countries and territories come together to challenge their intellect and creativity. The competition unfolds across three exciting rounds:

- Regional Round

- Global Round

- Tournament of Champions at Yale University — one of the prestigious Ivy League schools.

Participants will engage in dynamic debates, essay writing, and multiple-choice quizzes spanning six academic subjects. The theme for 2025 is: "Igniting the Future" — sparking ideas, innovation, and inspiration for the world ahead.

2. SCHOOL TEAM SELECTION PLAN

2.1. Eligibility:

- Junior Level: Students from Grades 6, 7, and 8.

- Skittle Level: Students from Grades 3, 4, and 5 are encouraged to join and discover their potential.

2.2. Registration & Selection Test:

Registration period: February 28 to March 17, 2025.

Selection test date: March 19, 2025.

Selection test details:

- Speaking skills: Public speaking and presentation.

- General knowledge & writing test: Duration: 30-45 minutes.

2.3. Study Plan & WSC Club:

Time: 4:20 PM - 5:10 PM every Wednesday and Friday.

- Wednesday: Debate (Quizzi with Challenge and Bowl).

- Friday: Writing practice.

Location: STEM Room.

3. REGIONAL ROUND INFORMATION

- Date: Early June 2025 (exact date to be announced by the organizers).

- Fee for Regional Round: Approximately 3,000,000 VND/student (subject to change based on official announcements).
