[Primary & Middle School] Reading Week and Super Reader Program 2024-2025: Reading Books Together

Date Submitted: 02/04/2025

For Sakura - Olympia students, books are more than pages and words—they are lifelong companions, shaping a vibrant reading culture within the school. The Reading Week and Super Reader Contest were created to celebrate and expand this culture, offering a space where students not only read but also share, create, and inspire.

Over the years, these events have received overwhelming enthusiasm from students of all ages. In the 2024-2025 school year, Reading Week and the Super Reader Contest return with the theme "Reading Books Together," bringing new challenges and an exciting lineup of activities. These experiences are designed to make reading more engaging and meaningful, helping students develop comprehension skills dynamically and interactively. From individual challenges to collaborative activities like Battle of the Books, Book Cover Design, and the Secondhand Book Fair, students will explore fresh perspectives on literature while honing their ability to share and express creative ideas.

Beyond the classroom, the 14-Day Family Reading Challenge invites families to embark on a shared reading journey, cultivating a love for books in everyday life.

Join us for a week filled with inspiration, creativity, and the joy of storytelling. Let’s turn the pages together and create lasting memories through the power of reading!
