Date Submitted: 09/03/2026

Olympia Primary, Middle, and High School is pleased to announce the selection process for students who wish to represent the school at the World Scholar’s Cup (WSC) 2026, one of the most prestigious international academic competitions for students aged 8 to 18. The competition provides an excellent opportunity for students to strengthen critical thinking, debating, essay writing, and teamwork skills in a global academic environment.

1. ABOUT THE WORLD SCHOLAR’S CUP

The World Scholar’s Cup is a global team-based academic competition that attracts nearly 50,000 students from more than 70 countries and territories each year. The competition consists of three stages: Regional Round, Global Round, and Tournament of Champions, held at Yale University, one of the seven prestigious Ivy League institutions.

At each stage, students take part in signature WSC events including debates, essay writing, and knowledge challenges across six major academic disciplines: Science, History, Social Studies, Literature, Arts, and Mathematics

The theme for WSC 2026 is “Are We There Yet?”, an open-ended question that encourages students to explore, reflect on, and debate humanity’s journey of development.
