[Primary] SPELLING BEE OLYMPIA 2025–2026: MASTERING LANGUAGE – BREAKING THROUGH EVERY LETTER

Date Submitted: 28/03/2026

The “Spelling Bee Champion” competition is an annual English contest at Olympia for primary students, serving as a starting point in their journey toward global integration. Here, students are challenged in vocabulary, sharpen their reflexes, and strengthen their confidence when speaking in front of an audience. Through each round, they develop flexible language use, structured thinking, and the confidence needed for international learning contexts.

Over the years, Spelling Bee has become a highly anticipated academic activity at Olympia. Each season is thoughtfully refined to bring fresh and engaging experiences. In the 2025–2026 edition, the three-round structure with increasing difficulty created a dynamic journey, where students continuously pushed their limits.

This year’s competition was carefully organized, beginning with classroom selection rounds (March 10–12, 2026) to identify outstanding students for the school-level contest. The main event was held over two sessions: March 23, 2026 with the Warm-up Round, and March 27, 2026 with the decisive rounds – Contextual Spelling and the Final Round. This structured progression allowed students to build confidence step by step and gradually take on more challenging tasks.

The competition opened with Round 1 (Warm-up Round), featuring students from Grades 1–2 and Grades 3–5. In this round, each participant spelled a basic English word. Although introductory in nature, the task required strong focus and quick linguistic reflexes.

The atmosphere quickly became vibrant as students confidently stepped onto the stage, clearly pronouncing and accurately spelling each word as required by the judges. Their calm and precise performances reflected careful preparation and a solid foundation in English.

From the very first round, the Spelling Bee competition was filled with excitement.

Students confidently took turns stepping onto the stage.

Following the opening round, contestants advanced to Round 2 and Round 3 with more demanding challenges. In the Contextual Spelling round, students listened to clues and identified the correct word, demonstrating language comprehension and logical thinking. In the Final Round, increased difficulty and elimination pressure heightened the intensity of the competition. The contestants’ focused, flexible, and confident performances clearly showed their progress throughout the journey.
